My All Time Favorite Books

  • Blue Ocean Strategy

    Blue Ocean Strategy by W. Chan Kim expands your thought process.  As business markets mature they become bloody with competitors that fail, margins are reduced and then the sharks move in.  Take your business into the clear blue waters of opportunity by doing away with the industry standard product and creating a whole new direction.  I recently was shopping for a sleeping bag and an innovative company has created a sleeping bag without a zipper.

  • Cash Flow Quadrant

    Most people have read Robert Kiyosaki’s Rich Dad Poor Dad Book.  While I have read many of his books, I started with the Cash Flow Quadrant. It is a much more important book than his flagship Rich Dada Poor Dad book. Cash Flow Quadrant talks about how important it is to build some type of part time business. He also discusses the tax implications of being in each Quadrant; Employee, Sole Proprietor, Business Owner and Investor.  It is a must read for anyone wondering why they are making good money but have nothing left at the end of the month.

  • Never Eat Alone

    Never Eat Alone by Keith Ferrazzi is a must read for the recent college graduate.  The best way to build relationships is over a meal but never eat alone is more than that the title. This book is all about the importance of building long term relationships in business and life. People like to do business with people that they like.  There is nothing more important  to long tern relationships.

  • Master the Art of Selling

    A revised and updated edition of How to master the art of selling, which educates on how to succeed in sales, including new information on using the latest research techniques and using e-mail and online resources to generate deals more quickly and efficiently. This book started my sales career it is what taught me the basics of sales and how many different areas of your life you can use these techniques.

  • Transform Your Credit

    I have spent the last twenty five years selling credit information to banks, credit unions, and mortgage companies.  Use this information to build strong credit files that will allow you to live a better life. More than ever we are living in a world that makes snap decisions and the quickest way to be dismissed is with a low credit score.
