Dave: Hi everybody it’s Dave Sullivan here for theCreditGuyTV with …

Rick: Rick Floyd with Home Bridge Financial Services.

Dave:  Great, thanks for coming out, and being  a panelist at the Mortgage Mastermind 2014. What one piece of advice would you give, borrowers who want to apply for a mortgage over the next year?  With all regulations that we have so much more difficult to get a mortgage. What kind of advice would you give individuals?

Rick: Well what I would tell a consumer that was looking to apply for a mortgage with Home Bridge or any lender is make sure you are dealing with a quality company. At Home Bridge we don’t treat borrowers like a transaction we’ve really more of a consultant.  That is why we call ourselves Home Bridge Financial Services because we’re consultant to our consumers, you know we put them in the best mortgage that fits their needs, both short term and long term.  It is not just a transaction to us. We take great pride in making sure that we match your need for the right product.

Dave: okay so with all additional requirements to get a mortgage now, is there one piece of advice you liked to share with them?

Rick: You know what I would say is make sure that that you really do your due diligence and make sure that you working with an organization that’s very reputable as well as  picking yourself a person to work with someone that has a great reputation and that information is not hard to find, it’s all public information.  Make sure that you are dealing with the right company and the right individual that cares about you, as a client and not just a paycheck for them.

Dave:  So for a loan officer, what kind of advice would you give them moving forward for the next year to build the Realtor business that we’re all focused on?

Rick:  Like we talk about our panel this morning, what I would do  if I was looking to grow my purchase businesses. I would find three to five new referral partners that really meet and match the DNA of yourself from that standpoint make sure you understood his/her business plan.  That they understand your business plan and how could you help each other grow your business together.  To really be a true partnership, too many salespeople today shotgun approach sure vs. the rifle approach find three to five good solid referral partners that you were of like mildness, the same business model and same business plan. Really, they’re like you in a way they have similar goals to yours absolutely, professional looking, you know, to treat their clients not like a transaction but to build relationships.
