FICO9 Trended Credit Data included?

The week FICO(r) allowed consumers for the first time see the FICO9 score on Myfico.com. The differences between FICO8 and FICO9 are considerable. On this file there is a long stable credit history. FICO5 and FICO8 are very close but the FICO9 score is twenty points higher than the other two scores.

FICO9 Trended Credit Data included? I believe that the differences can be attributed to the integration of the trended credit data. When FICO announced FICO9 the changes were:

  • Once repaid, collections won’t count against a consumer’s FICO score.
  • Medical debts will have a reduced negative impact on consumer scores. The median FICO score for consumers whose only major derogatory references are unpaid medical debts is expected to increase by 25 points.
  • Improved determination of creditworthiness of consumers with little credit history.

I would not call this particular credit profile thin, so what else could describe the difference? The only thing I can think of is that the trended data was added to the FICO9 score. I could be wrong but given the information I think it is a strong possibility trended credit data is the reason for the difference. Remember all three scores are based on the same credit history.
