I went to the Detroit IRS office and asked some questions…

I have done some videos in the past about how the IRS now removing a tax lien off your credit report like it was never there. This opportunity is called the fresh start program. The IRS will do this even prior to you paying it in full! I had some questions come back about what form is required to be used along with the 12277 form. That form is the 668Y form.

You should have received that from the IRS when the IRS Tax lien was recorded. Just attach Form 688Y along with the 12277 form that is required and you mail it in. If you would like to have me walk you through the process click on is link right here.

There were some questions? Like “where do I get another copy of the 688Y form if I don’t have it?” I wanted to find out from the horse’s mouth so to speak and I went down to the local IRS office here in Detroit. The IRS customer service person sat down with me and I asked him a few questions about the process…

He said that if you don’t have a 688Y form they can produce another one for you. It is just that simple, watch this video if you would like to hear about how someone removed an IRS tax lien without the 688Y form.

So what I would recommend if you don’t have the 688y form is to go down to the local IRS office and they will provide you a copy. If it is an older IRS tax lien, you may have to go to the court to get that form. But the IRS customer service officer said was the best thing to do is start with the IRS office. If they can produce another 688Y form they will. If not they will direct you to the proper court and you can then go get another copy from them.

If you don’t have the 668Y form go down to the local IRS office they can produce another copy or send you to the correct court where it was filed.

You with a little bit of me… we’re going to change the credit industry… and REMOVE an IRS tax lien off your credit report
