Relative Stole My Identity!

How to remove an account from your credit report that was opened by your son, daughter, mother, father.

Unfortunately, there’s a lot of identity theft that happens between family members and many times those people don’t want to go to the police station to file a police report.

I understand why, but you do have a few options:

1.  Call the creditor get that account shut down now you may have to paying whatever was charged up in order to keep them from filing charges but at least stop the bleeding.

2.  Freeze your credit file so freeze all three repositories and get that lock down.

The “Loved One” should not be able open up a new account under your name after you Freeze all three repository files.  Then you can sit down and have a long talk. If you take control of your identity fast and  lock it down, at least you’re protecting yourself from future issues without having to go to the police, which is what you should do and file a police report take that police report submitted to the creditors and then they will remove it and you won’t have to pay it so those are your options.

Hopefully, few of you will experience this. Although, unfortunately it is an increasing type of identity theft is from family members.
